The reason for this is the common use of air blow guns with open pipe orifices. Inefficient open pipe blowing generates high sound levels. But, a high, effective blowing force does not have to have a high sound level. [Air blow guns](https://www.silvent.com/why-silvent/technology/products/air-blow-guns/) equipped with air nozzles makes it possible to combine quieter, effective and efficient blowing with compressed air. ## **Air blow guns developed for quiet and efficient blowing** The high sound levels, when blowing with air blow guns for compressed air, is partly because the turbulence that occurs when the compressed air expands out of the air blow gun. The turbulence makes the surrounding air move, which creates sound. To decrease the noise when blowing with compressed air the turbulence has to be lowered. This is possible by installing air blow guns equipped with air nozzles that use the Silvent technology. The [Silvent technology](https://www.silvent.com/why-silvent/technology/) lowers the air turbulence, which gives a lower sound level. ## **Less turbulence improved the air gun efficiency** Less air turbulence also contributes to a more efficient blowing force. Turbulence demands a lot of energy, which means that less turbulence makes it possible to use a larger part of the energy for directed blowing force. Silvent’s air blow guns’ specially designed air nozzles are also aerodynamic designed to use the surrounding air thereby increasing blowing efficiency.
